ใ itachi proves the first stop simply by virtue of how early one has to wake up to beat him. (sleep may have been skipped entirely.)
when the door opens, a small package wrapped in festive paper hangs from the top of the frame. removing the paper reveals a framed photograph of itachi, gwen, and wei wuxian. wei wuxianโs arm extends out of the frame in order to take the picture. gwen is mid laugh at the other corner and itachi, unsmiling as ever, tolerates their antics in the middle.
another photo, this one sans frame, was carefully wrapped and placed behind the first. this one is obviously from her birthday party, and it features only gwen and itachi. she leans a little into his side, a plate with a(n almost finished) slice of cake on her lap.
