But the sun is as illusive as a full night of sleep for him and after sleeping for a full three hours, he'd risen from the bed in a cold sweat, showered, and made his way to where he is now: the training room.
His new bow is in his hand along with a quiver of arrows and he's relieved to find the training room abandoned at this early hour. It doesn't take him long to get set up around one of the targets. His first arrow is just to the side of the bullseye. His second is closer. His third and every arrow after hit dead center.

Wei Wuxian hadn't consciously made the decision to reach out to anyone, so it's a quiet surprise when his wandering feet lead him here. For several moments he debates simply turning and walking away, only mustering the knock because his body doesn't appear to want to cooperate with that plan. He doesn't want to talk to Itachi because he doesn't want to talk to anyone, but he doesn't want to be alone either.
And Itachi is the only one he can talk to about this. The only one who he won't have to assemble a smile and a laugh for. (Gwen doesn't need it. She can take it when he's real, he knows it, but he's not ready for that yet. There are only so many sins he can lay at her feet before she'll reach her limit.)

Wei Wuxian settles himself in beside Itachi without prompting, and though the others at the table offer him a fleeting glance, their attention quickly returns to Itachi as they're clearly waiting for his next move.
His lips twitch and he lets out a soft sigh, but he otherwise does nothing to interrupt. For now. A waiter passes by and he flags him down, casually reaching over to Itachi's winnings and passing one of the crisp bills to the the man with the tray.]

Check under the cushions in the parlor cars. The book I was reading with Mal and Kaede is likely the only way I can prove my innocence. Besides their being willing to say I was with them at the time we heard the scream from a few cars down the line.

(and did not, in fact, voice her declaration of, "friends!") only at the end did she shift his weight so that she was holding him rather than him onto her, and then largely because she didn't feel like losing him in the process of slingshotting them the rest of the way to the top of one world trade center.
